It is highly recommended that one should not take this drug within 14 days since the consumption of any MAO inbitors. It is advisable to give at least two weeks time for the MAO inhibitor to get expelled out of your system prior to the consumption of Adderall. Such a combined intake can lead to life threatening side effects. Do not use Adderall if you are allergic to dextroamphetmine and Amphetamine. It is not advisable to consume this drug if you have the following health problems:
- High blood pressure
- Heart disease
- Hardening of the arteries
- Glaucoma
- Overactive thyroid
- Addiction to drugs or alcohol.
Some stimulants result in sudden death in children and adolescents. Long term usage of aderal may restrict the growth of children. It has to be used on the advice of the physician and it cannot be purchased without prescription.
Adderall is a habit forming drug. It is not allowed to be taken by pregnant women. Adderall is certainly harmful for unborn babies. The intake of this drug is discouraged in case of breast feeding mothers, as it passes through breast milk and affects the growth of new born baby.
