I've been using chewing tobacco for a couple weeks now and I don't know if were going to get drug tested for football. If we do end up getting tested I don't know what form of test they would use. But how long would it be for the chew to get out of each test and come up clean. Thanks.

Between 6 and 12 hours. beyond that even a positive test would not be enough to indicate conclusive. Now go brush your fuckin teeth!

Tobacco is certainly not illegal. If they are screening for tobacco at a drug test at work it is probably for insurance reasons. No one wants to pay for insurance for someone who is almost guaranteed to get lung cancer.

Interesting. I did not know of specific testing for tobacco use. However, in saying this I should not be surprised that some companies would have this measured. One question do companies tell the applicant that they are testing for tobacco?

I quit smoking cigarettes Jan 5th 2011 and have been clean since. My biggest regret is that I would still like to have roll your own cigarettes because tobacco in some ways seems ok to smoke but is still dangerous in the long term even without carcinogens. Thank you for this article though I had no idea about how long it actually stayed in your system.
