The detox diet that you plan out should be rich in fresh fruits and vegetables. Ensure that you have detox teas when you are dieting. You can have nuts and seeds as a major ingredient of the detox food diet. Make sure that you enrich your food with fiber rich items. If you really want to adhere to the detox food diet, start using olive oil for cooking. Let butter and high fat dairy products be not a part of your diet food. Opt for skim milk and low fat yoghurt. Should the 7 Day Detox be taken at a certain time before or after exercise or just 30 minutes before breakfast and lunch?

    @Emily
    Take it after exercising and before your meal. That would help you in reducing the amount of food intake and pacify a par of your hunger too. And for the first 2 days, i dint observe any changes but then i drastically saw a reduction in weight within those 7 days. All the best

    I can never figure out this stuff about detoxing for a few days, a week, or even a month, and then going back to eating garbage.

    Fast food and the western diet is pure poison. You don’t need to fast either. Although that is a good practice a couple times a year. Just cut out the junk food and eat more raw fruits and vegetables.

    The disadvantages sited are sort of ridiculous. How can you get too much nutrition if you eat right?

    @Raw
    If you can arrest all your temptations to that level, I would say detoxification is really not necessary. But detox is for people who want to eat junk and stay healthy. It is true that raw veggie diet would do better. But if you are so tempted to eating fast and junk food, then detox food diet really works

    Believe it or not emotional affairs in marriage can be more damaging than physical affairs. The reason for this is because connecting with someone on an emotional level is much more intimate.

    After detoxing for a few days I feel reborn. I had an awful Christmas with stomach pain, dizziness and bloating. A week of detox seemed to cleanse my system. I am now a firm believer. Thanks for the great post

    I believe in natural detox diets and avoiding the pills as much as possible. Detox is taking out all the gunk in our bodies and you don’t want to add anything non-natural in your bodies. Eating foods that are high in fiber are a great detox method.
