If you really would like to understand the correct time within which there are chances of tobacco to get detected in your body, then you should first understand the amount of the drug you consume. The next thing that you have to know is the frequency in which you consume the toxin. Once you are clear of the amount and frequency in which you are consuming the drug, it’s very easy to understand how long does nicotine stay in your system.

Let us get into more details. If you take meager amounts of the toxic drug or if you are in the habit of taking infrequent doses or if you have got habituated to tobacco usage within the last six months, then, traces of the toxic substance can be detected in your system for approximately 20 or more days. But if you are going to undergo a urine drug test, then the drug test would be able to detect toxin traces in your body if only the urine drug test was performed within two to three days since you consumed the drug.

But if you are person who takes the narcotic once or a couple of times in a week, or if you have been habituated to the moderate or intense use of the drug or if your habit of taking tobacco/nicotine has started in the last one year and if you have been continuously using tobacco for the past 6 months time, then its very likely the traces of the narcotic present in your body have probabilities of getting easily detected if the drug test is done within three to five days since the consumption.

There is a chance that you have been using tobacco for more than a year. You might be using the soporific for most of the days in a week. You might have got habituated to the intake of medium to large quantity of nicotine. In such scenarios, your system is quite likely to show the presence of the soporific within a timeframe of five through ten days.

Its reality that the timeframe increases in case of a hair follicle drug test, because of the fact that the hair drug tests are very sensitive and would detect even traces consumes long back. When it comes to employers, it’s true that many of them do not opt for hair drug tests for their employees. Since the tests are very costly.

Flushing out the soporific from your body is easy provided you adhere to certain diet plans. Understand the type of food that helps you flush out the nicotine traces and pass the drug tests with ease. Try to consume a lot of citrus fruits. Go in for citrus beverages. They would have an enormous amount of vitamin C which in turn has the ability to expedite the metabolism of the soporific. Drinking lots of water also aids in this process since the expulsion quickens with the intake of water. Understand how long does nicotine stay in your system and use these tips to pass your drug tests comfortably.

I only smoke when i drink and that is max 2 nights a week. The rest of the week i dont feel the need. I smoke on average 10 cigarettes on the nights i drink. My Dr has now told me that if i dont stop smoking she will not let me have my contraceptive pill. This goes against my human rights and i will not be bullied. I have an appointment on wednesday to get a repeat prescription and they might test me. How long does the nicotine stay in my system?

I have been a consistent smoker for about 5 1/2 years (roughly 4 packs a week). I just got a new job that is becoming a smoke free workplace. I am happy about quitting, but am nervous they will test me before I have quit and have had enough time for it to be out of my system. I am wondering if anyone can give me a more accurate idea of how long it will take to get out of my system based on how long / how much i smoke

I infrequently smoke cigars (averaging approximately 4 per month). The last time i smoked a cigar was about 8 days ago. How long will this be detected in my system (other than the hair test).

The amount of time varies greatly to which nicotine leaves your system. If you are a casual smoker it will take 3 to 5 days like the article said. If you are a heavy smoker..meaning roughly a pack or more a day it will take way longer since you have so much nicotine built up in your body that it will take a lot longer to expunge..20 to 30 days for the substance to be COMPLETELY out of your body. I’m 21 and only smoked for 3 years..I was a pack a day smoker for the last year of that time span. I noticed my body just becoming weaker and my lungs were starting to get heavy..so I just decided the quit the nasty habit because I was sure I was going to develop some sort of disease really soon. I’ve been nicotine free for 2 weeks now by going cold turkey…it’s the best way to do it. Just fight those body aches and even if you relapse, going through the experience just made you stronger for the next time you decide to quit. You will notice that after your first week all the pains will be gone and your frame of mind will stay in the “I just smoked a cigarette, I don’t need nicotine at the moment” feeling. This is were the healing begins. Good luck to you all!
