Important Instructions
If your medical practitioner prescribes vicodin tablets its important that you don’t drink more than three alcoholic drinks per day. It’s even more important that you stay away from liver disorders such as cirrhosis. Always take the advice of the physician when it comes to the intake of this drug. Do not take it as someone has benefited by it. This painkiller cannot be given to drug addicts. Disclose to your doctor before taking the drug if any have any of the following health problems:
· Stomach or any other digestive disorder
· Mental illness
· Low blood pressure
· History of head injury or brain tumor
· Kidney or Liver disease
· Under active Thyroid
· Any kind of breathing disorder
· History of drug addiction
· History of alcohol addiction
· Any gland disorder
If you are a breast feeding mother or a pregnant woman, vicodin can cause breathing problem to your baby. Understand that it is very easy for vicodin to pass through breast milk and affect the tender child.
It has to be taken strictly on doctor’s prescription. Do not intend to increase the tablets and dosage without doctor’s approval. Remember to take only for the reason for what purpose it has been recommended. Do not suggest your friends who may have same symptoms similar to you. If you have forgotten your dose, if the time has come for the next dose, do not take a double dose at one shot.
So it is not a fun or joke to take a painkiller because if you get addicted to it, it is certainly very difficult to get out of it.
How long does Vicodin Stay in Your System?

Since its very uncertain and ambiguous to understand how long does vicodin stay in your system, use it whenever it is inevitable, but do not make it a habit.

I’m in dire need of information confirming that while taking the doctor prescribed medication Hydrocodone/APAP /5MG 500MG tabs MFG Watson Generic for VICODIN and a urinalysis drug test is administerd will the test results show a positive reading for Amphetamines I would welcome any and all medical documentation as to how this is determined by the testing facility. Well I have a problem I have been taking vicdion seen probly a year ago and now that am pregent am sacred that am gonna hurt my baby will she have withdrawls or be addicted to it or have any problems in the day of her birth? Am all most due am 9months? Can u help?? Thanx

i have been taking vicodin since an mva in 1997, i have been self medicating (taking more then i should) for the past 6 years. i have gotten to the point of only taking it to keep from going thru the withdrawls. i was up 10 to 20 7.5 tablets a day. for myself and my family , i checked into a detox hospital to get help. since my release 3 days ago, i have had only one craving for it. the craving was a very mild one that only lasted a short moment. i am amazed at how good i feel. there is hope for any one addicted to this medication. i did this on my terms and no one elses. no more pill counting for me. if you need help talk to your doctor and let him know all of your sources then go check in. my situation i thought was hopeless. there is hope for you. my detox was virtually sick free. if you think you need help, go get it. it works.

I stopped taking my Hydrocodone 5/500 yesterday, I just had my first surgery ever, a C-Section, plus got my tube cut tied and burned, someone called CPS on me, they say I have to pass the drug test on the 23rd, I only weigh 89.5 LBS, I have a really high metabolism, I need to know if this will be out of my system in six days, cause CPS is being gay even though I have a script, I can’t finish it, because the opiates have to come back negative, I’m serious, they don’t care that I have proof, and they don’t care about the pain I’m in, so hopefully someone can help me make sure I pass this dumb test, by letting me know how long this will take me, I hope before six days.

I am 18 weeks pregnant today and got to see the ob that has been strait forward with me every time i have had an appt with her (this is 1st time seeing her for this pregnancy, i have seen other docs at the clinic b4 today). I have been on 50mg of hydrocodone a day per/rx and have been on this amt for over a year now. I suffer from multiple sclerosis and severe leg pain due to fibromyalgia. My ob told me that i need to be off the vicoden completely before the baby is born in order to keep the hospital from involving CPS. I took the hydrocodone (not such high levels and for headaches mainly) with my last 2 babies and no one had mentioned anything about problems before this baby. My ob has mentioned putting me on a muscle relaxer “flexeril” to help wean me off with minimal withdrawls. I am more worried about the fibro pain then the withdrawls and my baby’s health even more so when it comes to getting off this stuff. If anyone knows if flexeril helps with fibromyalgia pain or any good advice in being able to wean off (which i am already doing as i wont take the 10mg pill i break them in half and take 5mg every 3 or more hrs instead of 10mg every 5hrs and i have noticed the difference in how i feel as 10mg has started knocking me on my butt if i take a whole one). So please if anyone can help with even a little bit of advice it would be great. Thanks Mom-2-be again

i was on vicidon and was taken them 7times a day i went to rehab and got help but once i got out i was only taken them 2 or 3 times a day i went to jail for a little and got out i got pissed tested and the opient was still in my system form three mounths prior since the last time i took vicidon im clean now and learned my lesson now im maried with two kids and im alot happier now then i ever was

My question is… I have been taking Viccdin for about 2 and half years… Ive had back surgery and my back is still messed up… The pain dr said my last two urine tests were negative… I dont understand this I take my meds daily… every morning and afternoon… I drink water all day long, cant drink pop juice or milk it upsets my stomach… and Im on several other medications such as… Troprol for blood pressure, Chloesterol meds, Dilantion for seisures, Nexium for stomach, ambiem for sleep, asprin daily, mobic for athritis, when Im stressed I take an occasional xanax … my question is can any of these drugs cause me to have a negative result??? Im very upset been crying since I left the dr office… I find it very degrading to go to the dr and they accused me of this … when I know darn well Im taking my meds… I dont understand can someone please help me???? thanks Julie

I am probably just being paranoid and silly, cause I didn’t take that much, but I took what I think was half a 500mg vic Saturday night about 3 in the morning (so I guess it was actually Sunday)for a bad headache. I have a drug test tomorrow morning, which is Wednesday. Do you think it will show up? Its the 5 panel test for DOT. My metabolism is average. I really need this job, and I could kick myself, but it’s too late now. I’m not even certain that it was a vic. It had a capital cursive “V” on the back, and numbers on the other side, but I don’t recall what they were.
