Saliva / oral fluid-based drug tests can generally detect use during the previous few hours to 1–2 days. THC may only be detectable for less than 12 hours in most cases. On site drug tests are allowed per the Department of Labor.[11]
Detection in saliva tests begins almost immediately upon use of the following substances, and lasts for approximately the following times:
Alcohol: 6–12 h[12]
Marijuana and hashish (THC): 12–24 h[12]
Cocaine (including crack): 1 day[12]
Opiates: Up to 2–3 days
Methamphetamine (“Tweak,” “crank,” “ice”) and ecstasy (MDMA,) : Up to 5 to 13 days.
Benzodiazepines: From time of ingestion up to 2 to 3 days
Amphetamines 3 days[12]
Phencyclidine (PCP) 3 days[13]
NOTE: Saliva tests are poorly sensitive to THC and detection times can vary considerably based on the cutoffs used. In some cases drug use may only be detectable for a few hours.
Adulteration products are readily available on the Internet to avoid oral fluid detection.

took a saliva test after using cocaine sunday night on Tuesday night (about 47 hours after last usage) and failed. They sent to tox lab i think b/c they hadn’t failed anyone before. Not sure if it was a bad reading or they just didn’t know how to read a positive test.

I did about 4 lines of really powerful stuff so we know now that it can take more than a couple days for your saliva to cleanse.
